You also consistently post content, and have maybe even tried Facebook ads. But you’re are still confused about the role Facebook plays within your overall marketing communications strategy. You’re not sure how Facebook fits within your events, your volunteer outreach, and your fundraising.

How does Facebook fit in with my current marketing communications plan?

Who should be managing our Facebook page? Interns? Staff? Volunteers?

How can we develop a framework for content?

The foundation of our approach to any assignment is attentive listening to the situation, needs, culture and aspirations of the client. Our clients have represented a variety of sectors (including education, arts and culture, health care, and social services), sizes (no staff to hundreds of staff; budgets in the low six figures to the high eight figures), maturities (start-ups to well over a century old) and experience (organizations new to planning and organizations with extensive history and experience of planning). Our breadth of understanding of nonprofit sectors and issues helps us to ask the right questions and explore the relevant concerns to assure integrated explorations and solutions. Case studies of some of our projects and articles on strategy, identity, capacity and facilities can be found at www.synthesispartnership.com.

Gary was asked to create a recruiting and admissions office for a private high school where he taught because he was “good with people.” Hard work paid off and they were successful and enrollment grew.

A new president joined the school and he asked if Gary could build a development office because Gary was “good with people.” Again, hard work paid off, they were very successful and before he knew it Gary was hooked and on his way to becoming a development professional.

One thing Gary has learned for sure; being “good with people” is about the least important attribute of an effective development professional.

Including serving as Executive Directer of the Central Arizona College Foundation and as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at St. Gregory’s University – a wonderful Catholic university in Oklahoma and founded GPB Associates LLC in 2007.

We train and mentor facilitators, leaders and executive teams that want to create and support the processes with which groups, organizations and communities can define and achieve their goals and realize their dreams. Group mentorship, as we have developed it, is an ongoing, facilitative accompaniment of an organizational or community team that wants to increase its effectiveness through a dynamic and integral process of group, personal and professional development. We creatively combine the most effective methods of face-to-face group mentoring and facilitation, with the most modern technologies of Internet, intranet and virtual online mentoring.

We have ample experience with many different organizational and ethnic cultures and appreciate the uniqueness of every client, approaching each one’s needs with a systemic and holistic perspective, backed by expertise in facilitation of organizational and community development and change. Our facilitators are accredited by and/or members of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) and are active in its global leadership.

Amauta International can help your organization or community to prepare its own leaders and internal facilitators with the necessary competencies for effective intervention in:

Ø change management
Ø team building,
Ø process restructuring,
Ø crisis intervention,
Ø organizational cultural transformation,
Ø community building,
Ø conflict resolution,
Ø transformational leadership,
Ø competency development.

Finally, we provide continuity through effective follow-up monitoring sessions and virtual support (virtual conferences, WBT, bibliographic support, e-lists, etc.). Our approach of training and mentoring your own in-house talent, is not only a more effective way to facilitate organizational transformation, but also much more economical than contracting outside trainers and facilitators. Let us show you how a program of facilitator mentorship can increase the productivity and success of your organization.

Nonprofits’ efforts to find supporters are rapidly being supplanted by the need for supporters to easily find you. Learn about specific, low-cost marketing and fundraising techniques that will drive more traffic to you online, and increase your “conversion rate” so more of them become donors, event attendees, and other supporters. We’ll examine how to implement inbound marketing by combining techniques like search engine optimization, pay-per-click, blogs, articles, websites, landing pages, calls to action, links, social media, and more to promote and leverage your content, boost online traffic, generate leads, and convert those leads into supporters. We’ll also discuss how to easily measure results to validate that your fundraising programs are working.

Takeaways:

Build/maintain an interactive website designed to convert visitors to leads

Drive online traffic to your website and social media

Maximize the likelihood prospects can find you

Convert leads into donations and other forms of support (i.e., “conversion”)

Track results

PowerSite123’s unique technology enables any organization to have its own powerful website quickly, affordably, and with no technical skills required.

Allan has done thousands of presentations for the nonprofit and business community worldwide, almost always to rave reviews. Allan has been designated as one of the world’s leading e-philanthropy speakers. Allan is the co-author of Internet Management for Nonprofits. He was given the Volunteer Service Award by President George W. Bush.

Previously, Allan was co-founder of i-Cube, which had a highly successful IPO, and was later acquired by Razorfish. i-Cube helped large corporations through software/web development.

Prior to founding i-Cube, Allan was a technology strategy consultant at Arthur Anderson and First Consulting Group. Allan holds an M.B.A from UCLA, and is an All-American springboard diver.

– Generate revenue
Now you can have access to powerful functionality, such as the ability to collect funds securely within your site (not on a 3rd party site!), build a database of constituents, facilitate search engine optimization, sell products, register people for events, and manage your own content.

Strategic planning has a dicey reputation for any number of reasons:

1) it often is tedious and time-consuming;

2) the issues it identifies are either obvious or not critical to the mission (or both);

3) the actions it specifies are vague and unmeasurable;

4) it is ignored once the plan is written (or the written plan is never quite finished);

5) it simply adds tasks to an already over-stretched staff;

6) it has no results visible to stakeholders;

7) it does not advance your mission.

These problems are not inherent to strategic planning; they are signs that it has been done badly. This webinar will look at how a nonprofit can infuse its mission into the daily activity of staff and board through a straightforward, rigorous, and even morale-building process. It will offer both a structure and tools for planning.

The organizations under their umbrella are often out of step with critical new technology, new best practices and organizational thinking and often out of step with each other.Community building orgs are looking to create programs to teach affiliate’s new skills and build shared capacity, but what is a model that works?

This webinar will outline our “Boot Camp” model for capacity building for any organizations that provide training, coaching and incentives to help their grantees/affiliates advance their fields. We’ll highlight the Boot Camp approach and focus on top tips for how to use gamification and incentives to get otherwise reluctant affiliates/umbrella orgs to learn and apply new thinking and technologies.

We will cover:

What the Boot Camp community capacity building model is and how it applies to your field.

A breakdown of the barriers that “umbrella” orgs face in capacity building.

Examples of effective incentive-based programs that get results with case studies from the field.

Smart tactics to create connections between your affiliates and keep them engaged with (and learning from) each other.

The planning process is an essential tool for guiding organizational performance, identifying the resources you’ll need and keeping you on track. It addresses funders most basic questions:

*Whom do you serve?
*How do you serve them?
*What resources do you need?
*How will you reliably raise financial and in-kind resources?
*How will you measure performance and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement?

In this session you will learn how this tool lays the foundation for successful fundraising efforts.

Takeaways:

Developing clarity: How does your broad mission statement play out in the day-to-day fulfillment of programs and services?

Evaluating and analyzing your organization, your competition and the marketplace: What are you good at? Where do you need to improve? What should you eliminate or add?

Prioritization: You’ll know what should be improved expanded or eliminated and in what order you will accomplish this.

Aligning resources: What human resources and infrastructure will you need? When will you need it? How much will this cost?

Developing reliable and growing revenue streams: With the economy still gyrating, how can you ensure that you have the funding to meet your nonprofit’s goals?

Managing firmly and leading smartly: A supportive board and strong management are the basis of a thriving nonprofit. Examining management style, organizational capability and performance measurements are vital indicators in charting a path for the future.

Measuring performance: How will you measure impact? How will you incorporate for continuous improvement?

She also teaches, speaks, and writes regularly on data-driven decision-making for strategy, assessment, communications, and for managing change. Faculty and staff would often come to her and say, “Someone told us we need to do focus groups or a survey. Why, which one is best, and what do we do next?” The firm employs many methodologies, including surveys, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, population modeling, mapping and projections, benchmarking, and many types of data analysis.. “No one methodology is right or wrong; it depends on the population and stakeholder community, the timeline, the resources, and more,” says Ms. Cheskis-Gold.

Demographic Perspectives works with each client to approach problems with a customized data-driven process, stressing a full strategic outline. Participants in Rena’s previous webinar on “Data-Driven Decision-Making for Nonprofits” will recognize this process: articulation of the problem and goals, data gathering and analysis, project communication and public outreach, development of planning steps, project implementation, post-project evaluation and assessment.
